This is the title of this series and corresponds to the outcry of a brave Colombian community which strives against endless violence caused by paramilitary groups to force them to flee their homes vying for control of land but also for commercial interests from multinational maritime corporations. This people belong to one of the poorest neighbourhoods of Buenaventura, the main seaport of Colombia, which is paradoxically called Isla de la Paz (Peace Island). By clamouring these powerful words fiercely, they choose to fight for their rights with no violence. There is no such thing as “leaving” for them. They will stay, not only rebuilding their homes every time the gangs demolish them, but also rebuilding their dignity.
